Quick Start User Guide
This section helps you to get started with Rainswater Fixed Asset. Start the program if you have not already done so, by clicking the Rainswater Fixed Asset shortcut on your Start menu.
Login
You will be presented with the Log In screen. Enter admin in the user name box and password as the password.
Create a new company
Go to File/Change Company
Enter the company information and click the Save button. Now highlight the company you have just created and
click the Select button.
Change the password
Go to User Maintenance/Change password
Enter the old password in the Current Password box. Enter a new password in the New Password box. You are required to enter
the new password a second time. This is to ensure that you did not
mistype your password. Click on Save to save your new password.
Note: You cannot use the user name as the password e.g admin as the password for the user called admin.
Add a new profile
Profiles allows you to control your users and their privileges such as access to the different menus. There are 3 default profiles created.
- Administrators
- Staff
- Operator
Click
User Maintenance/Manage Profiles. Click Add and enter a name for the
profile and Save. To assign rights to this new profile,
highlight the profile and click on Rights. On the menu items tab, check the menu items you want this profile to have access to.
Click on the Actions tab and assign the actions which this profile can execute. Click the Save button to save your changes.
Tip: You can quickly assign all rights by clicking the Unlock button. Similarly clicking the Lock button will remove all rights.
Add a new user
Click User Maintenance/Manage Profiles. Click Add and enter a name and login for the user. You can also enter a email address.
Click the drop down list and select a profile for this user. Click Save and you will be prompted for a password. Note that a random password has been generated for you. You can accept it or enter your own password.
